Gee do you think where did you learn that on page 2? Better yet set up no mo ro bo . com and get a good phone that blocks these unwanted callers Panasonic makes an excellent one and it even blocks whole are codes and the first ring is silent. Picking up the phone and hanging it up only confirms the line is active and they will keep calling back if you do this. Brought to you by an elderly senior citizen who has probably more years of experience with this stuff that you have been alive.
Caller ID read "Out of Area"
First off, we are a company and they called our "Old Folks" line. Our "Old Folks" line is a third line we got from the phone company a few years ago for the overflow calls. This number has never been given to our customers, and never published under our name. It originally belonged to an elderly couple, so when calls come to this number direct, I know it is not for company business.
I just answered with "Hello", and after the long pause I heard a woman come on the line. I just said "Good-Bye" and hung up. Just like some of those telemarketer calls that come in that when you answer, it has a woman's voice saying Good-Bye.
I recommend that if you are elderly/a senior and you are reading this now, you just need to hang up right away. They are soliciting and NOT for your benefit.
