I keep getting text msgs on my cell phone stating I've won $25. Out of curiousity, I called the number and to claim the money, they asked for my Social Security Number. It's clear this is a scam.
It is a pfishing scam. I have alerted the fraud department of our local police and the American National Bank of Texas at their fraud department. This is the third text message I have received on my cell phone from these [***]. I finally have had to block all incoming text messages. They cost me 30 cents/message each time they try to scam me. Bloody [***]!
It is a scam and they are using mulitple numbers to mask their identity, contact the bank, ftc and local phone service provider. Unfortuantly the people at that phone number are not behind the scam. Look up caller id spoofing. My office phone number is one of the numbers that is being used to mask the caller id and we can't make it stop! We contacted authorities and they tell us they cant help us! They are trying to get your CC info don't give ANY Info!!!!
