Just received same call from Dave Novak offering cooler with Jack. New number: 813-884-6249. Under the name Ellen N Haile. Offered to send 1/2 box of light bulbs with PO. He also asked for home address, cell phone. Beware of this scam.
I got a call at the office from the guy who claimed to be with Precision Lighting offering the Coleman cooler and a bottle of Jack Daniels in February 2012. He told me he would send me free of charge and with no obligation the cooler and whiskey just in time to enjoy at my "superbowl party". All I had to do was give him my home address.Sensing a scam, I told him no. He again asked for my address at least a couple more times, and I told him that I do not give out that information to strangers over the phone. He abruptly hung up, which was OK by me. Definite New England accent, he sounded sort of like Ray Romano.
Two times now, there has been a call from this phone number. The 1st time they actually sent a bunch of light bulbs & said we ordered them when we didn't. We had to send the bulbs back to avoid being charged for them (of course, having to pay for the shipping). Today, they tried to do the same thing again offering a gift of wine. The person in our company didn't give him an address when he asked but i will bet they already have it (since it's easy to get) & they will probably send something again w/that person's name on the package. These people need to be stopped!!!! Why can't some1 just earn an honest living these days instead of scamming & stealing from others!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got a call today; woman asked for the maintenance manager; when I told her it was company policy not to give out names of employees, she hung up. Caller ID was PRECIS LGHTG CO.
