That same number called me this afternoon. A woman saying she is at ESRI in the office of a Mr Lopez. I guess there are actually Mexicans working in Mexico! She could not say what it was about and had to talk with the person she was calling to speak with. I said you have the wrong number and hung up. If it is a collection agency and the debt is real old, why do they think they will get any money?
If the debt was written off then identifying yourself to them would start the clock on what the person owed again and for at least 7 years they would be harassed. They pay the original company a small amount for the collection ability of the debt and hope to get more than that by offering the person that owed the bill a smaller amount to pay it off.
ERSI collection agency, Guy on phone is verbally abusive screaming once the phone is answered by anyone that picks up screaming at me and my 19 year old daughter, insists I have Sears collection account. I have never had a Sears account in my life.
I got this number on my cell phone, and when i called back, i got a receptionist who asked if I was me, ( she gave me my name and mispronounced it) and would only tell me the company name. i asked what the company did and she said "alot of things". When i pressed her for more info she replied that she was not allowed to tell me what the company does. I hung up.
These vermon buy old accounts that companies right off as uncollectible then attempt to threaten anyone with the same name in hopes they can scare some money out of you. check your credit report and you wont find ERSI ON IT. I didnt confirm who i was to them. they are bull !hit.

I keep getting calls for someone that i knew in the past. I do not know where they are as of today.The phone number on my caller id screen is (815)895-3237 from ERSI.I refused to call back as they tell me to call a person named Bob Hunter at a different number.The lady that call is so sickening sweet in her message saying just to call this Bob person.It is illegal to call someone that in no way is respondsible for any outstanding debt or on it.This is many of the calls that i receive.I sendt a letter to them to cease and they still call me.
