this is a phone scam. they say you have a bad check or payday loan outstanding and threaten to have a warrant issued for you or anyone they talk to. problem for them is i investigated by calling the cicuit clerk and county prosecutor. they both said it is a scam and referred me to the attorney general. my advise is contact the attorney general of your state ASAP
my grandma got a call today from a different number and the lady gave her 816-533-7799 for me to call back and in the message she said I would have a warrent by tomorrow if I didn't get a hold of her.. LIES
They called and told me I had a check loan out and i would be arrested if I did not settle it. They refused to tell me who they were or what company was calling. I called an attorney and they told me it was a scam. That this company buys old check loans and tries to get people to pay for the check. I have turned this over to the attorney general of Missouri
they called me today and was rude as hell and threatened to have a warrant issued for my arrest. i called back and they were rude and acted like it was too late to settle the debt and they were going to take legal action so i hung up. Moments later they called back, i don't know why because he still acted like it was too late to settle the debt. They refused to give me the name of their company or even the state they were located in but i knew because the area code is 816 which is kansas city and I LIVE IN KANSAS CITY. I had someone try to do the exact same thing last year and after further investigation i found out it was a scam, talking about a debt from SEVEN YEARS AGO.
