To my understanding they monitor the interest charge by banks and request to lower interest on behalf of customers who pays on time and even more then the minimum every month. THIS IS A SCAM!!! DO NOT PROVIDE CALLER WITH ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION!! I got a call from 800 847-2911 today. Someone named "Jake" with a thick Indian accent said he was from "Experian" and he wanted to help me lower my credit card interest rates. He started asking me questions about my accounts, which I refused to answer. I asked if I could call him back and he gave me his name and phone number (817) 382-1198. I called the 800 number back and found the number was to "Visa." I spoke to a representative from Visa and confirmed the call was a scam! He said Visa will never call you from this number asking these type of questions. He confirmed the calls are made from a device that mimics the 800 number on a caller ID. I then called "Jake" back at (817) 382-1198 to give him a piece of my mind. The phone was answered by "James" who also had a very heavy Indian accent. James said the number was to "Card Services" not Experian! He did not know Jake! It's all very fishy... Please take my advice and do not give these people any information. DO NOT BE A VICTIM!!!!!
Mr Rob what the hell are you talking about. Me & my buddy just got our interest rate dropped down to 0%. & we both are paying our debts off without any interest or finance charges. These guys are legit....
