If this is Americredit they are very nice, as long as you keep paying them they seem to work with you.  

What I don't understand is why they called and didn't leave a message.  That is not their usual style!    

It might be some sort of marketing rather than a collection call - they can do that if they already have a business relationship with you, I think.

My step son has gotten four phone calls today from this #.  I don't know how they got the #, since his is a pre paid cell.

Yes, this is from Americredit... Don't know how they got my cell #, but it leaves a 2-second blank voice mail - very annoying, as I have to use a minute to check and delete it.

I received mult calls from 1-817-524-2446 with a callback number of 1-800-284-2271 They state that they are now handling my auto account. I have not had an auto loan since 1966. When I called them to ask them not to call my cell phone, the automatic answering machine tells me to call 10-15-15-800 and that there will be a $5.00 charge. I hung up!

I have a totally different experience with Americredit. They have a consistency in harrassing my home phone. Recently they took extra $180.22 only to delay 2 months payment. I understood that they were going to wave late fees but they have invented a new terminology saying that waving means the fee is set to be paid at the end of the loan. So they took extra $180.22 only to buy my peace of not receiving more phone calls for a short time. I feel that I have been assalted. Americredit is a very evil organization praying on others
