You are right that they're harvesting "working" numbers. However, as Tygerkat points out, these nuisance calls are coming into our business and we don't have the luxury of simply not "answering unknown telephone calls". In our business we deal with calls from across the country and any one of them could be legit. I'm glad that works for you, and I do the same on my cell phone, but as for the office phone that's not an option. And we DO use call blocking software, but unless they've called before under that particular number, they aren't blocked (I do however have all of 818-210 blocked since I've not had one single "legit" call from that prefix). There's no pat answer that is a solution for everyone.
