Caller was male with a thick accent. Wanted to talk to someone no longer employed here. I told him such, and he asked for the owner by name. I asked what it was regarding, he said a webinar. I kindly asked that we be removed from his calling list - he laughed and claimed he did not have one and he had found the number online. I then asked to be placed on a Do not Call List, he claimed they also did not have one of those.
Finally fed up, I told him to just not call again and he laughed and hung up.
Not sure why I even try being nice to telemarketers these days...
Man with an accent called three times in 15 minutes, demanding to speak with the same specific IT manager or, if not available, to leave a message in his voicemail. Each time I told him that wasn't permitted and tried sending him to Purchasing. He'd start arguing with me, then hang up before the calls went through.
Caller claimed to be from Technology Research Assets. The same guy calls my switchboard numerous times every day, and each time gives me a different company name! He has claimed to be Dell, HP, Microsoft, FedEx, UPS, Citibank, CitiExpress, Bank of America, Edward Cullen (ha ha) from CVS Pharmacy, Symantek, Zilliant, SafeNet, Ziff Davis, Marketing 123, just to name a few! Its a man and woman tag team and they are phishing for information! Beware!
A woman with an accent identified her company as Fact Based Solutions, which I Googled and located in Massachusetts. She wanted a specific IT manager to follow up his alleged request for information. I sent her to Purchasing.
