This thug called at 8:41 pm
He was "overly-Friendly"
He claimed to be raising money for Homeless Veterans, and offered to send an envelope, for my contribution. Thank God, my Husband told me to hang up the telephone! I hung up!
Associated Community Services was making calls for thses guys until attys in various states fined them.... they may have moved to another scam caller center?
Been calling 2-3-4 times a for the last week or so without leaving a message on my answering machine. So today I answered on the 2nd ring. After I answered "Ray" the 2nd time, He said Ray, this is Steve, so I said "Steve, please remove my number from your list since you have been calling here for the last week or so without leaving a message on my answering machine. He immediately said "you're off and rudely hung up. A scammer for sure. Be aware.
They called my husband while I was at work. He listened to the spiel and told them we didn't have the money to donate. My husband was badgered into agreeing to a $10 donation if they sent an invoice. They sent 2 mailings and noted that it was the second time they sent. They also call incessantly to speak only to him and hang up when I identify myself. My husband is a senior citizen on a fixed income and it is wrong to target these people. It seems to me they are trying to target those who have sympathies with veterans. I am writing this review here and on other places I know of to warn people about the badgering and scam. I called back to speak with the fundraiser. No one answered. Their voice mailbox was full. When the option to choose another line came up, it was a disconnection. I tried several of the options and was disconnected every time. Thanks to all of you for voicing your opinion.
