Got a call from "Amber" from DT Management and Associates for my daughter about a 13 year old fraudulent debt. First she gave me way more information than she should have, second she threatened to file "legal" action. I told her that it was a zombie debt, that it was fraudulent debt and that the statue of limitation had run out in ANY state in the US. She started yelling at me and I would not back down. She put me on the line with her "supervisor" whom I told the same thing. The supervisor started talking morals and doing the right thing. I asked if doing the right thing included threatening people and breaking the law. By the end of the call, she said they were turning it over to Fraud and that we wouldn't hear from them again.
I got a message to call her(Ms Calhoun) she was very helpful..it was a collection agency but once given the facts and info, in my case it was an old debt that I had already paid twice. She was not rude, threatening or aggressive in anyway. my suggestion is if you owe money pay..at least try to make payment arrangements and if the debt has already been paid get her the info and let it get settled.
