I had the very same experience today with person getting abusive and vulgar. We have been ignoring this number for months now.......... For now the only solution is to continue ignoring the calls.
Just received the call. I don't answer any phone calls that I do not recognize. If it's important they will leave a message. No message was left. I will report the number to the Do Not Call Registry. Un
Poster Billy Goates is correct about the way these calls are generated. I did call my State's AG's local office and the Rep. told me he receives about a "dozen" complaints a week concerning these Phone Calls. With the Voip being the 1st method used, the AG's Rep mentioned a couple more and then said they were also using "Magic Jack". #2, I was told the calls are not subject to the "Do Not Call Registry", as they are generated off-shore. And the third bit of info my State's AG Rep. told me was: Our State's AG and 5 others were currently working with Federal Government Agencies in order to finally put an end to these Phone Calls. Personally, I have been on "Card Holder Services" list for at least two years !!!!! Receiving two or more calls in one day. One time and one time only, did I press the # to speak to their Rep. and before I could complete my " Please take this # off your list" the Guy hung up !!!! "Rachel" or another American accent person uses the phrase " this is your LAST notification", he hehe, I can only wish that were the case !!!!! The American Scum providing their voice to this scam need some time behind very large walls. I, for one, applaud Billy Goates for His/Her work on this issue !!!!!
