I got a call from this number 321-549-3042 and other numbers such as 770-240-0000, 713-292-0134 and even 847-221-0024 all having the strangest preset voice message to log onto a FAKE WAMU website. I DON'T EVEN HAVE A DEBT WITH ANYONE! POEPLE DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM OR ENTER ANY INFORMATION!!!
As many of you can tell, WAMU has paid a few clowns to go around and post on boards such as these, You will find they make similar statements at all the sites.
I got a kick out of the water head who said that no one would call you if you just paid your bill...and in the next sentence said they were calling him looking for someone else...Even though he told them that they did not work there anymore. This of course could NEVER happen to anyone besides HIM...All of the rest of you are just not paying your bills, that is the reason you are getting called, only HE receives wrong calls. What a DOPE!!!
Anyway, the company WAMU itself is extremely evil. Look up some of the scams they pull, like making a payment late when it was paid on time so they can raise your rate. It then turns into many people not paying. Then you deal with who ever they hire for collections (maybe it's in house). Maybe one of the asshats who work there and patrol these board telling people to pay their bill could tell us. Either way, the people they use to collect are a match for the rest of the crooked company. You sheep that think all big companies would never do anything wrong or harass people with no bill due, need to set down the glue you're sniffing for a few days and read a newspaper....You know....maybe get a new perspective on the life that is flying past you and what is being done to you while in your haze of follow the leader. BAAAAAAAHHH!!!!
For the rest of you normal people...Think about this, If a guy/gal is posting on this site and telling you to "just pay your bill" why are they here? Did the accidentally put in a 10 digit code in the right order to get here? They came to this site by complete accident right? Then...since they were here by complete accident...they decided to read all the post....then they decided to make a post of their own and tell you to pay your bill? SUUUUURE (insert big eye roll here). These are the people who work at WAMU...please disregard their statements and continue on, they are nothing more than paid (poorly paid) lemmings.
I agree with the fact that people should not complain about having to pay bills or getting calls from collectors trying to get their money. The arguement here, for the most part is that they are harrassing people even though they are making arrangements, do not have any debt with them, etc.
How the hell do you know the lady you are speaking of has not tried to get a job? Take a look at the economy buddy. I got fired under extremely shady circumstances when I was 8 months pregnant with my second child. I can't find a job any where that would pay me enough to cover expenses and child care despite my good employment history and best efforts. All my bills were paid on time (if not earlier) until I lost my job. I get calls every 1/2 hour from collection agencies and it is very frustrating. for you to be so ignorant as to say get off your [***] and get a job like that's all it takes if idiotic. Get your head out of your [***] and realize there's more to it than that. Unless you are put in to such a situation, you have no right having an opinion about it.
Listen up wamu you have NEVER EVER accepeted any payments against your debt in fact in your warped bizzare math people have ended up owing more than the origanl charges. these is nothing more that a glorified racket and beaks every law in the world.
That is really bad advise- why would you sue a collector for the banks issue- if you have proof that the debt isn't owed then the collector will cancel the account. all your doing is promoting the downfall of our ecomony - maybe if people paid their bills we wouldn't be in the financial mess we are in.
