I was just contacted for the third time by three separate recruiters for positions with AT&T.
I spoke with "Paul" (Indian guy, could barley understand him) and he asked I email him a word document of my resume and references. Within 5 min he was calling me asking where the email was. I told him I was still working on getting the reference information together. Why are these people in such a hurry?
In this climate they should be swamped with candidates and have plenty of work on their desks. This guy kept calling me repeatedly (over 5 x in under 30 min!) If I did not answer he would just call again the next second. In my experience you have to be the aggressor with staffing firms and contact THEM. This raised some more flags with me. Nothing about this "feels" right.
If there is one thing I have learned it is that I need to listen to my instincts. If it looks like a cat....
So what can I do? I have already sent them my resume and authorization form and SS.
I received a call and it just beeped. I called it back and got voice mail from of someone named Par (Sounded Indian??) Not sure what they are selling but I don't need any kind of international anything.
