This is yet another of the apparently limitless supply of numbers used by Portfolio Recovery and they never leave a message in any of the multiple phone calls per day. It does not matter what the statute of limitations are in your state, they will purchase debts older then dirt and hound you to pay up. This debt collector calls me on debts that were discharged on the bankruptcy that I filed 10 years ago!

You have to give them credit for being persistent that's part of their business model  (harass until they pay) they just don't count on anyone knowing laws and their rights unfortunately some people pay them just to make the calls stop

Receiving same types of calls . I never answer them because of above comments . never a message but agree with above . CID said Portfolio Recovery . Just a waste of time.
