A person who only identified their self as ICS called me at 8:45 am on July 18, 2016 and asked me for my birthdate. When I questioned their purpose and asked who is ICS, the caller said, "ICS is the company and are you refusing the verification". So I said no info will be provided and they hung up. I called the number they called me from, 847-993-2018, and was asked my birthdate again. I asked why they want my birthdate and was told, "are you refusing the verification". I asked if they realized it was unreasonable to request anyone to just give them personal information. I asked to speak to the manager or to anyone other than whom i was currently speaking with and they said if i spoke to anyone else, i would get the same response. I said that's fine transfer me and then they hung up. If they are a bill collector or whatever, they could have just said so. Now a bored silly person like me will take this matter further, like filing a complaint or reporting ICS, etc. PS I blocked their number from my phone and if they try to call me with any other number related to me then i will report ICS to the FCC.
It belongs to ICS Systems; a bill collector. Basically they have automated dialers that call people. As soon as you pick up the phone; they are suppose to connect you to an agent. Those systems are called predictive dialers. ICS Systems doesn't have the whole connect to a live agent thing down pat yet.
