This number called me 5 times in the morning while I was at work but never left a message. I finally answered and said "Hello." They asked to speak to me and used my full name. I said "This is she". He started talking and I said that I was at work and could not talk. He said "The $3,000 loan you applied for has been approved." I said I didn't apply for a loan and he said "OH" and hung up. It is a SCAM. He used an Indian accent.
They called me saying I got approved for my loan and I need to go to Walmart and send 280 to receive it but I knew it was a scam I ask the men to not call me anymore and removed my number and he called back & called me a [***] lol it was funny
I started getting phone calls early Monday morning and at the last count I have gotten 16 calls. So I decided to start calling the number and when they answered I would say how's does it feel to be called back. Now they have put the number on busy to stop me from calling.
Called me every hour today, I ignore numbers I don't know but after 6 calls I picked up and they told me I was approved for a loan I never applied for. I told them they could send me something in the mail if they wanted to contact me. They disconnected, then kept calling every 30-45 minutes for several hours and I picked up again and asked them to stop calling me and hung up. The number is now blocked in my phone but they will call using a different number, I'm assuming. It was interesting that they used my nickname (ie Jack instead of John) when asking for me, instead of my legal name, which was clue #1 that they were a scam. I never use my real name unless I'm filing legal paperwork. Every time I had a male with a middle eastern accent and very loud background noise, like he was in a very loud call center.
The same thing happened to me. I was also at work. I answered and he said the same thing. Same person the other person identified. He said i applied for a $3,000 loan online and said i was approved. I was like i didnt apply. Well he called back and i didnt answer. Then i called that number and a girl answered and said hello then she hung up. I called a few times after and no one answered and just last week they called again but i didnt answer. But they finally stopped i hope. So if anyone gets a call from that number do not answer it is a total scam. And it will probably be the same guy calling.
This number has called my work number 3 times this morning. I just decided to answer the latest call. They told me I was approved for the $3000 loan I applied for. I asked what loan? Because I didn't apply for one. The woman hung up. I called back and asked her how this could have happened if I didn't apply for it. She said, "well are you interested?" I said no, she hung up again. I called back asking her the name of the company because I work for a law firm and would like to further investigate this and she hung up on me again.
