Received two calls this morning from this number. I did not answer and they did not leave a message on my voicemail. The reason I did not answer is that my caller id showed "Do Not Pickup" as the name of the person calling. I assumed it was some sort of scam.
Called at the office. I do not get calls from outside the office a lot, so I checked the number first (and got here).
I have now a 19 seconds voice mail. Keyboards typing, loud talk in the background, overall very poor sound quality.
They called me and I ignored it (thanks to CID). When I called back I got a recording from a foreign sounding man saying how he's "such an a--hole" and "will never call again". What a jerk.
What's odd is that my reverse lookup (which covers cell & unlisted numbers) doesn't show up anything either. I wonder if he has this number through something like MagicJack or a virtual number service.
I just got a phone call by this number. Asking me if this was "name" and then hung up. Looked through all these posts and decided to call the number back... It went straight to voicemail- the voicemail said "I am sorry you got a phone call from me it will never happen again, I am such an [***]." I did not leave a message... Anyways avoid this like the plague... most likely a name verification identity theft scam.
Someone with a Middle Eastern accent called our office and asked for "Andrew". I told him he wasn't in yet, and he hung up without saying anything. Total jerk.
