Received two calls this morning from this number. I did not answer and they did not leave a message on my voicemail. The reason I did not answer is that my caller id showed "Do Not Pickup" as the name of the person calling. I assumed it was some sort of scam.
Similar experience. The caller asked for me by name, and I asked, "How can I assist you?" and she hung up. Who knows where we can report these calls from Vineyard, NJ 856-204-0000, to put an end to them?
No, it is NOT how an information-based society works. Not in my world. Annoying people with rudeness and unwanted phone calls is a trend that needs to be squashed. They have called us over the last few days asking for an associate. They are probably collecting "good" numbers and contacts for identity fraud. This is a good string of experiences that should be gathered up by the feds. Our tax dollars should be good for that, at least.
saw the number 856-204-0000 on my CID and by the third time decided to find out who it was. These calls are coming to my home phone number. Turns out it was a foreigner with heavy accent and asked for me by name - first and last. Typically I use my given name when dealing with companies so I was surprised when he called me by my nickname. I asked who he was and he mumbled a name and said he's with FedX. Then he asked for me by name again and when I said yes he hung up. I don't feel very comfortable with him knowing my name and phone number. what else does he know?
