This call was actually a live person, calling to screen me. She asked the mother of all tautological questions: "Do you own or rent your home?" to which I honestly answered "yes". Ha! She put me through to her "agent".

The agent said I was selected to "receive a free alarm system with free installation" and he asked if I owned my house.  He was certainly in a hurry to hang up when I said "no". Time to seek their next victim.

These people call whether you're on the Do Not Call list or not. Doesn't that suggest something about them? Don't bother to press 9 to be removed from their predictive dialer, they won't. Much better not to answer calls whose Caller ID you don't recognize.

I record all spam calls with Google Voice, but this call didn't come in on my Google Voice phone number.
