Got a text from this number saying "CREDIT UNION CENTER ALERT: Your CARD has been deactivated. Please contact us at 608-237-XXXX" I am assuming they used my area code to base the call back number on. Has to be fraud. I have never belonged to a Credit Union. Jerks.
Also received a text from this # stating "CULLMAN SAVINGS BANK ALERT: Your CARD starting with XXXX has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 256-217-XXXX" Not only have I never used this bank, I do not have a card including the four indicated numbers. They got the city correct as I live in Cullman, AL- yet wrong bank & card. Have yet to call back the contact number although it comes back to an unlisted landline out of Huntsville, AL. At first I figured most likely a simple mistake from someone who had signed up for some type of banking sms alerts? Still a possibility, although after reading some of the other folks posts regarding these guys asking for card numbers sounds more like fraud to me?
