Same call described by Chris. I pushed 2 to have them stop calling, and a representative picked up to "sell" me on a lower interest rate. When I asked what credit card he was inferring that I have, he said it is a Mastercard or Visa. I told him I don't have one, so he said it must be American Express. After I told him I don't use credit cards, he hung up on me. I have a new job and do not know all of the phone numbers the company uses, and I'm afraid to miss an important call. This call came to a pay-as-you-go cell phone that I have had for three years, and I only recently started receiving spam calls and texts. It is so irritating that they cost me money every time I answer.
I just received a call from this number with a recorded message stating they were calling about my credit card, and nothing was wrong, they just needed to check a few facts...... I hung up. I have no credit cards. I was a victim of the Target Store scam and my bank sent a new debit card to me a month or so ago. I am wondering if the people calling are somehow getting the names of the victims of the Target scam.
This number just called me to tell me I could lower my interest rates on my credit card but didn't give me the name of which credit card. When I told them I had no interest on the card they mentioned they hung up.
Same thing happened to me. Received a call from this number that was a recording. Caller indicated they were with account services for my credit card, but failed to identify which company or card they were talking about. Asked me to push 1 to take advantage of lower interest rates or press 2 to receive no further notices. I would recommend not pressing anything and ignoring this call, definitely some kind of scam.
