Listen I need to know the truth about this guy with hard facts. My mom will believe anything because she is the best woman I know. This man asked her for a lot of money to help him get out of trouble with the Malaysian government. She did not send it but is still in contact with him. I think he is a scam artist but she wants to give him the benefit of doubt. I need help. I love her and don't want to see her get hurt I will find the truth. He is back in the states supposedly.
Yes, I too, was in contact with John Bogamil Copeland through Match.com last year. Sent me the long flowery email with the story of his wife's heart attack, his maritime job, etc. etc. and also many photos and a link to the maritime company. We spoke on the phone (he had an accent) and he said he was in the process of quitting the shipping bz and opening a business in California. During the conversation I questioned whether he had two homes (one here in CA and one in Jersey) and he seemed perturbed that I questioned him and that he didn't doubt what I had to say. He said he would be in CA for good in a month or two and we would get to meet. I never heard from him again.
