You people love to sit and complain about nothing. I JUST got a call from them this morning, and another just now (about 4 hours later), I am NOT upset, I actually appreciate it as the first call was missed (screened) and now this call comes in, and HOLY [***], MY GLASSES (that I paid the advertised 70$ for) were ready!
You people [***] to [***], I swear to God. Your "review" online will not stop ANY one from going, let alone hundreds of people.
Americas Best Eye Glasses- weird that they didn't just leave me a message. Maybe my voicemail cut them off or something. It was just an automated call to tell me my glasses were ready for pickup
I just got this call here in Minnesota; funny thing is, I've already picked the glasses up today (about 2 1/2 hours ago). In addition, while I am totally satisfied with these new glasses, I'm still going to take my prescription to Zenni Optical, and get a couple more pairs of glasses, at an even better price.
I just got a call from America's Best at 9:16am 03/29/2011. I missed the call so I googled it and found out it was America's Best from here, called it back, and got the directory of staff.
I spoke to the location I went to yesterday when they called at about 6:00pm and told them that I'll wait until both my glasses and my father's glasses were ready for pickup because I don't want to make 2 trips.
It is annoying that I've spoken to the people that actually have my glasses and they still sick their automated system on me.
I don't like that...
Top if off with the fact that their adds lie about EVER being able to get out of the store with "2 complete sets of glasses for $70.00" and I doubt I'll ever go back.
I can deal with having to pay more for the better lenses etc. but to have them start to harass me by auto-dialer after I spoke to the representative already?
That pisses me off.
I hope someone from their company reads this and understands that I rate my purchases at a dozen forums... I will stop at least a hundred people from EVER using your services if you piss me off.
I *just* got the call yesterday at about 1pm that my daughter's glasses were ready to be picked up. It is now only 9:30am and this number is calling me to tell me I didn't pick them up. Really? She is in school, and we will get there as soon as we can tonight. They are already paid in full, they said I had to pay 100% before they would be ordered, which is fine, but surely they don't think that I am going to just leave my $85 sitting there and not come get them.
I also agree that their advertising is *this* close to being false advertising. There were only about 10 pairs of glasses that my daughter could choose from for the $69.95 deal, most of which didn't even fit her face (she is 8). To get glasses that would actually fit her and weren't terrible looking on her, it was $40-50 more. We were not told that there was a 7-10 day wait for the glasses to come in, even though I asked when I called to make the appointment. Had I known this before she had already had the eye exam, we would have gone elsewhere (Empire Vision) and gotten them within an hour for $79 per pair. The extra money would have been worth it to not have her being glasses-less for nearly 2 weeks.
