I just got this call here in Minnesota; funny thing is, I've already picked the glasses up today (about 2 1/2 hours ago). In addition, while I am totally satisfied with these new glasses, I'm still going to take my prescription to Zenni Optical, and get a couple more pairs of glasses, at an even better price.
Automated "your glasses are ready" from America's Best. They left a message, and included the phone number of the store itself.
And by the way, it's perfectly common for special deals to only apply to the basic lens material and a limited selection of frames. You always have to pay extra for special plastic materials (for a thinner/lighter lens) or coatings. I was pleased that America's Best threw in a few of these extras for my child (they said it was safer for kids that way).
It's also standard practice to have to wait 1-2 weeks for glasses to come in. It's much less common, and usually advertised, for a place to offer a quick turnaround, since most glasses are made at an offsite lab.
Keep getting this call but with no VM msg. The caller ID says Erica Mendoza with the 856 #. Didn't know it was America's Best until I went to this website.
America's Best - this is a lousy way to do business. Annoying. Businesses should leave a msg - not continue to call when person doesn't respond.
Excuse them for wanting their customers to come pick up their paid for glasses..how inconvenient for you to have to make a trip to come and get what you paid for...I guess AB should deliver them to you on a white horse, hey why stop there?? Why not ask them to actually read for you, your child or be your eyes so you wont be bothered to have to to do it yourself..you people are not only ungrateful, but you are also lazy and have no common sense...btw duh you pay a little more then the advertized price for things like bells and whistles ie: coating, special lenses, light frames uh sales tax..my Wife paid at Lense Crafters $450 for one pair of glasses, at AB she's paid a whopping $301 for two pairs of the same script with the bells and whistles she wanted..instead pf being ungrateful and boohooing about the wait and the extra trip to pick them up, she enjoyed a fabulous steak dinner on me with the money we saved..and she made due with her old glasses until her new ones were ready..and she was glad to do it..so was I btw I paid $85 (no bells and whistles for me) for 2 pair of reading glasses..
Oh cry me a river..you decided to go cheap, and your daughter didn't get to choose her frames on the moon, waaah waaah..uh whiney there are more then 10 frames to choose from, and they fit the glasses to your face when you pick them up..so any frames that were a little too big or small would have been made to fit when she picked them up..people like you are what's wrong with this country..me me me..oooh oooh ooooh..oh waaa they called my phone how dare they..no I wont answer their call, but I'll piss and moan because they keep calling me...what me!! answer the phone??? OMG me??? go back to AB and get the glasses I paid for..who me get off my lazy spoiled stupid [***] and do something other then cry about everyones world not revolving around me..why should I let them know when we plan to pick up our glasses after all just because they have customers who have appointments that means nothing to me because it doesn't involve mememememememe..meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I would love to knock you morons into the middle of next week and kick your [***] on wednesday! But I can't I have to pick up my glasses...
