Annoyed
This company called me several times and I ignored it not knowing why they were calling.  One day I answered a blocked number and spoke to a guy named "Skip"...he basically was claiming to be collecting a debt from a credit card my wife opened. I asked for him to send me something validating his companies ownership of the debt and he responded saying he already had. When I asked when he gave me a date of 5 days prior(yet to this day I've received nothing by mail).

"Skip" said he would email me information which I never received and about a week later I get a harassing voice mail saying that I haven't called him back although he had said he would call me. I literally argued with him over the phone for 30 minutes trying to get him to validate the debt and listening to him try to act tough. When I questioned the legitimacy of his business and expressed concerns he childishly made sarcastic remarks about wallpapering my house with their letters they supposedly have sent. Finally irritated I agreed to make 3 payments to cancel the debt but required him to send me something with the payoff agreement and original account number with his company's account number. He agreed and later I received an email with the information I requested.

Today I receive a call from "Skip" and a nearly two minute threatening message that I haven't called him to make payments. I called back asking why he was calling and expressing that to my knowledge the agreement has been made to make payments and I would have my bank mail the checks. He refused to accept that and demanded I schedule payments over the phone which I refused and told him if that was the case due to the fact I don't believe he is working for a legitimate company and due to the fact in the course of our communication he has broken several laws, he would have to sue me. I informed him that I've kept every message and kept track of everything pertaining to his communication and I will notify the authorities to look into him and his company and that I will give my lawyer the information. He argued angrily for about ten minutes at which point he hung up on me.

I will definitely be contacting the attorney general in the morning for my state and contacting a lawyer

Left a VM saying it's an urgent legal matter, I am responsible to call them back to protect myself, I need to state my side of the story before they proceed ... I have no legal matters.
