tom wolfe called claimed to be calling on behalf of advanta, (wonder if he purchased debts), and told to call 866-757-7243 ext 514....see my above post...still have not received anything form them...last guy called not sure if same guy told me i was not his friend...
Robert Cohen called me on 5/15 at 11:01 am stating he is calling on behalf of Advanta Bank. He said he is going to have his council in my state file an involuntary bankruptcy proceeding in the US Bankruptcy court against my entity (which is no longer active). He wants me to address this matter and told me to call him at: 866-757-7243 ext. 508. He called frim 856-773-4724.
Advanta Bank increased my rate to 36% for no reason and without ever informing me in writing 2 years ago. When I asked them why I was transferred to their "law" department. Then their so called lawyer actually yelled at me at the top of his lungs when I asked him why they raised my % and never informed me of this. When he was through with his temper tantrum he hung up on me. This happened numerous times. I also wrote them a letter and never received a response.
Advanta Bank are scam artists and need to be stopped.
Mr. Rothberg 856-773-4724 claims he's going to call me everyday. He wouldn't tell me who he was affiliated with his response was he was Mr. Rothberg, like I'm supposed to know him or care. He called the cell once and the house 3 times in 15 minutes. I call that harrasement. You??
Well I never answer my phone from a collection agency or a number nor recognized by the phone.
This dude says he is from Sage recovery, regarding Advanta Bank, wishing to talk to me about my default line of credit. Steming from the above number and this one (866) 757-7243....What I do from this point on is to log the number on the cell contact list and label it collection agency...This way if it rings again, you can see where the call is coming from and decide then to answer it or simply put iit in your mail box voice.....On another note, you can place the number on a "No Call List" this way when the call does go through then they (Collection Companies) may have violated a federal law that prohibits them from doing just that.
Although I am not an attorney,I can say that consumers have many options that collection agencys do not wish you to know about,so they may continue to harrass until you have had enough,or leave it in the hands of an agency that will consolidate the debt as a whole..You can then make monthly installments. till the debt is paid......Some of these recovery people have a job to do,like all of us,but then....Some are bottom feeders that have no class, and are beyond rude...You don't have to deal with this...You have options.....Michael
