Same thing . This needs to stop. It is sad that these people continue to try and catch some one who is minding their own business. Report all these calls to the do not call list .
Just got this call. Any of your financial institutions would identify them self so that you can call back with a legit number that you get off the back of the card. Never tell them your information. If they already have it, ask for their name and employee id number and then call your institution and ask for that CSR.
I have a cellular TracFone and I do not answer unknown numbers. Someone called today at 9:15 AM and did not leave a message. My phone number is registered on the national Do Not Call List and I reported this call to them. Based on this website they are trying scam people like us!
I just received a robo like call that started with the spiel of "This is Heather calling from your credit card services...". I didn't let the "voice" (I wonder if it is just electronic) ramble on to the point where someone "real" got on the line to try to scam me out of my personal information and identity.
When I Googled the number to come here to see if others are getting calls from this number, the man who this number belongs and likely is perpetrating this phishing scam in attempting to take people's is Roberto Rodriquez and when you report the call to the Do Not Call List, mention this in the space they give you to write. If enough peoplw would identify Mr. Rodriquez the FTC. I know this because I had calls from someone every other day from someone and the FTC finally turned it over either to the state AG or the DA of the city where the call originates. It takes all of us getting these calls to come together as one voice and make Mr. Rodriquez STOP already. I have had more than one of these calls from "Heather".
When the call came through Mr. Rodriquez' name did not show up on my caller ID, it just read "NewJersey". Since I know people in Jersey I picked it up in lieu of letting it go to voice mail.
This is a scam! Please do not let go of your personal information and your identity! He likely has plenty already.
Awe....I didn't answer and tried to call back after I read the comments here and in 5 mins the number has been disconnected???? What I wanted to have some fun :(
