They just called me, and I said "Children's cancer---Well sure, I'd love to buy some. How much is it a pound?" I wonder why they hung-up on me...............
We got a call from his alleged charity again today at 1:53 pm, and it was again blocked by our call blocker. The caller ID was still CHILDRENS CANCE. This is the eighth time they have called since last year.
Talk about robot calls-- "Vanessa" is literally a robot, or rather a slick computer program with speech recognition. Ask her a question she is programmed to answer like "what is your last name" and she will answer. Ask a question like "what day of the week is it today" or "can you count backwards from 10 down to 1" and she gives a stock answer something like "we don't need to talk about that right now." I've encountered a couple of telemarketers using this scheme. It's kind of fun trying different questions to see how the software handles it. Not so fun having them call at 8:30 every morning for 2 weeks though.
Called my office yesterday at 8:42 AM. Caller ID said "Children's Cance". Did not answer. Ran the number through Google and here I am again. I appreciate everyone's comments. Amazing how many times I do not recognize a number, check here and usually get a good laugh from some of the comments.
