A man named "Mark" called our house today claiming to be with WINDOWS, the PC company. He told me that he had been getting reports "FROM MY PC" that I am having issues with a slowed-down internet, & viruses. He told me that he would REMOTELY ACCESS my PC from where he was, and try to fix the problems. I asked him if he knew the BRAND of my PC. He told me that "The BRAND of your PC does-not matter, I am with WINDOWS" (BULL!) I asked him if this was a PAID service. He told me that if he could fix the problems himself, it will remain free of charge. If he needs to INSTALL his companies VIRUS PROTECTION PROGRAM, I would be CHARGED for the program!!! THIS HAD SCAM WRITTEN ALL-OVER-IT!!!! YIKES!!! I asked "Mark" what his "Virus Protection Program" was named, and he gave me the name of "Windows Defender" which is complete BULL!

I then asked "Mark" for his company's website. He became upset with me and told me that he would "LEAVE the company website in a folder on my desktop after he had fixed my PC remotely" I told him that I did-NOT want to go any further without FIRST obtaining his company's website!! He finally "broke-down" and gave me the following e-mail address: "[email protected] (SCAM!!!)"

This man said he was calling from India, but "registered" in the US State of Texas. I asked him for his name. (although it sounded as-though he was calling from a very LARGE call-center. His name was "Mark Kamei". The number that showed-up on our caller-ID was "Private-1-777-777-7779" but when I asked "Mark" for his number to call him back, should we become disconnected, he gave me the following number: 859-212-0706!

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH ***ANY*** AND ***ALL*** PHONE-CALLS! IF SOMEONE STATES THAT THEY ARE FROM WINDOWS, TELL THEM THAT YOU WILL PERSONALLY CALL A VERIFIED WINDOWS NUMBER YOURSELF TO SPEAK ABOUT YOUR PC. DO NOT BELIEVE A "WINDOWS REPRESENTATIVE" PHONE CALL! WINDOWS IS ***NOT*** GOING TO CALL YOUR HOUSE! I PROMISE!
