The guy that called me was named Terry Green, and he told me that i owed a payday loan from 2008 and that it needs to be paid. He told me that i allowed the people to take 5 payments out of my account (closed years ago) and that i then stopped paying them. He told me that if i didn't make the payments that they were going to suspend my license and pull the registration to my car and have someone to come and get my car. So i made payment arrangements with them as i was scared to death. Once i had time to think all of this over and talk to people, i called the BBB in Louisville and told her what was going on and she then gave me the one in Lexington as that is where they had called from and the BBB in Lexington told me that there is no such place, and that i need to go to the bank and put a stop payment as this is a fraud because no one can do that to you, and that they have to send you something in writing and she told me that this was all a scam that was going around

Got a call saying I owed a payday load of 800 from a loan in default 2012. I refused to pay this and the woman Jennifer got very smart with me and said I would be served in 24-48 hours.
This number repeatedly called me. I did not answer because I didn't recognize the number. They then left a message stating I had a claim filed against me and to call back with a claim number they gave me. When I called back, they already knew who I was before I even gave the claim number. They stated I owed a pay day loan balance and was going to be sued if I didn't make arrangements to settle it that day. They claimed they represented a law firm. I then told them I had no outstanding payday loans and hung up. They called back on a different number (859-592-4237). When I answered he said did you just hang up on me and I said yes I did because I do not owe a payday loan. He then said do you have documentation to prove that and I said yes I do. He then said well I guess we will see you in court. Fat chance, cause I know this is a scam. This happened to me about 3 months ago too and I asked for the complaint to be sent to me in writing. Needless to say, I didn't receive anything.
