I received a call while driving. I told them I was not available to my computer and asked for a call back number. Was given 855-481-5399 which is a scammer telemarketer. The caller ID'ed himself as Jack from Geek Support Live. I never called back.
Called our DNC registered landline on 08/06/2014 @ 11:12 AM from China. Yes, this is a spoofed Connecticut number. Caller ID shows Name Unavailable. I *67'ed the number and the number is not in service. No surprise there.
There has been a rash of computer virus calls that just started again after a few months hiatus. Sometimes the scammer will claim they are from Microsoft. We got dozens of the calls from (860) several months ago.
I got another one yesterday from the (201) NJ.
I got a call yesterday and again today telling me the wires would corrupt my computer because Windows was no longer supported by blahblahblah. Hard to understand. Geeks squad or something...
Received two calls ( 8/7/2014 @ approx 5:17 pm ) from this number stating something about window computers to prevent virus/hackers wanted info. very hard to understand. hung up on both times
This scammer from China called again on 08/09/2014 @ 11:33 AM. This is a spoofed number. The caller is from China which is why everyone is saying they can't understand them.
This is a typical computer virus scam. They are just looking to get your credit card info. They are also spoofing
