CID showed Hartford CT, but I'm sure the number is spoofed. I have seen a 100% increase in scam calls of one sort or another to my landline and cell within the past few weeks. My phone #'s must have gone to the top of the fraud brigade's list. I don't usually answer numbers I don't recognize, but was right near the phone when this came in. Picked up, immediately recording came on that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. The person on the recording didn't speak English properly, kinda the "Me Tarzan, go now" syndrome. Didn't listen to the whole scam, just enough to see what they wanted. Have now blocked the number.
