I just got the same call. Very arrogant lady saying that they will be serving me with a court summons tomorrow morning. She says that there is a case and reference number and that I need to call back another toll free number for details. GIVE ME A BREAK!!! They ask for personal information such as social and date of birth. If you aren't a scam,, then you should be able to verify it for ME!!! Im pretty sure this is a "scam" of sorts. I have no collection actions against me, so......... Citigroup..... ya right!!
I get calls all the time but usually only on my landline from Rachael at Card Services - that's been going on since 2007 or 2008 but that has slowed down quite a bit. Lately I've been receiving calls from another group of a-hole scammers trying to sell me on some bs Health Alert system - offering me all the stuff for free and then charging me a service fee. I'm not even interested but I tie them up for a bit just to get them going and to waste their time and then I tell them to go F themselves and that their mothers must be proud of what they've done with their lives. I'm on the Do Not Call list but that's pretty much a huge waste of time they do nothing - actually less than nothing - I've also tried the phone company, F.C.C. and the F.T.C. they are all equally worthless ! I wish that there was a way to electrocute people over the phone !!! lol ! The latest SOBs to harrass me have been these pukes trying to act like they are debt collectors (860) 256-8771 and a couple other numbers I don't have in front of me at the moment, These have all been calls made to my cell phone which is a pay as you go phone so it's about $.10 cents a minute - I typically ignore numbers I don't recognize but sometimes when my hands are full I just answer without looking - bad eyesight doesn't help either. I'm going to get one of those cans of airhorn and speak real softly until they get the phone pressed up against their ear and blast them when ever they call me.
just got a call from this number. now calling their company W W Associates. I informed her that I would have the law here waiting for them! End of call.
