Caller identified his organization as Zentec (spelling?), and was soliciting funds for the Police Athletic League. I said I didn't pledge funds by phone and said they could mail me their material, and I hung up. (If they know who I am, then they have my address. -- The caller did know my first name.)
I looked up both Zentec and Xentec on google.com and found nothing related to the P.A.L.
I called back to 860-269-8751 and got a recorded announcement from the P.A.L. and a reference to their main number at 800-396-1757.
If it is really from a police orginazation then why dont they have it come up on caller id. You can have your number taken off anything you want. If they keep harrasing a person then a person has the right to do something about it.
These dumbasses called my house 8 times today. I served in the army for 4 years. Next time they call i will tell them to give me money. Cops get paid good for what they do in my city they make 60,000 to 75,000 a year what about people who serve our country we did not get paid crap and you dont ever see a parade or a national telavised funeral for the soldiers who din in the line of duty. Maybe they should start calling an collecting for our veterens who mainly get nothing.
They call every evening, sounding as if it's from out of the country (caller has a definite accent and there's a lot of noise in the background). She claims to be representing a college and wants to speak to my son. I'm sick of this.
Have been getting unwanted calls , almost hourly from Brivia CommLLC. Phone # 240-787-1342.
Reported them to my State's Atty General & also found my phone service allows me to 'block' this number.
They never leave a message, so I don't think it's an important call & after reading some of the posts on this company, felt if I blocked them it would probably be the best thing.
I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS THE SAME COMPANY. I SAW A HOUSE IN MY AREA WITH A LEASE TO OWN SIGN, I CALLED THIS #510-500-0244, I CALLED AND TALKED TO A NICE LADY WHO EXPLAINED TO ME THE WAY IT WORKED, A 4 YEAR LEASE WITH A $5000 DEPOSIT WITH THE OPTION TO BUY WITHIN THE 2ND OR 3RD YEAR . THE NEXT DAY I GET A FOLLOW UP CALL FROM A DIFFERENT 510 NUMBER, THE CALLER ID SAID BRIVIA COMM LLC. THEY LEFT ME A MESSAGE TO CALL BACK, BUT I WENT ON LINE AND FOUND ALL THIS.
THIS IS RECENT, JUST GOT THE CALL BACK YESTERDAY 7/26/10. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
