I have gotten this call but from 803-587-8439 and they left a message and asked me to call back at 786-517-8390 with a case number. I record all of my calls on my cell phone and advised them that I was doing so. They claim I owe on a payday loan, which I have used before (in 2011) which they say they are from 2011. I asked them to mail me the information so i can make arrangements (I am not paying anything). The have called me from different numbers but basically the same type of information. The scary part is they had my whole social security number....going to report them at the ftc.gov
No I didn't want to. I already felt it was a scam right after hearing the message. So I just blocked the number she called from and blocked the number she gave. I'm pretty sure they will try calling me again from another number. I'm sure they spoof there numbers so they can look legit
I just googled the name you said they gave you it doesn't exist. Crunkleton and Associates come up for commercial real estate and there's Crumpton and Associates which is a law firm in Alabama.
That's what she told me the name was and I was on hold for 5 minutes. I asked for the name of the company first and they put me on hold and then that's what they told me.
It's definitely a scam. You should have to put someone on hold just to tell the name of the company. That should be the first thing you state along with your name when someone calls your company. I wouldn't worry too much about. I find it very ironic they called us all today.
