The call came from the "Fraternal Order of Police". This " organization " uses verbal strong arm tactics and will call even if you are on the Do Not Call list. We asked them to stop calling, they did for about two years and started again. They are not affiliated with your local police as far as I know. They also use very aggressive men to do the solicitation giving an impression that you better donate. The last call I received was fully automated and did not allow me to opt into speaking with someone or to request removal from the call list. Go to the https://www.donotcall.gov/ and file a complaint if they bother you.
