Got a call from this number at work on my cell phone. I answered, no one was on the other end. I called the number back and got an automated system with a message from "Lisa with Reward Redemption" telling me that I was eligible for a $100 rebate on something I had purchased from an un-named website. My inclinations leaned toward it being a phone scam.
It most likely IS a scam. In order to get the $100 rebate you would most likely have to give them a credit card number to cover a "processing fee," or some other fake charge. The fee is usually a small amount, so you don't think anything of it, and give them your credit card number willingly, but you would find later on that a much larger amount had been charged to your credit card.
Oh, and the $100? No such reward would ever come your way.
Same as the above. Called my cell, and when I answered there was only silence. I called back and got a recording of "Lisa with reward redemption." Scam.
