Got the call at 10:09 AM but they didn't even let it ring fully before it hung up. Googled it and found this site. I've been getting these spam calls and texts a lot lately, at least once a week or once a month.
Got a call from them tonight, but didn't answer. I live in CT, so I looked it up to see if it was someone I know. Nope! No voicemail. Have had a ton of calls from unrecognized numbers lately. Filed a complaint per Pudge's post.
There is a reason that scammers will only ring your phone once and hang up. They rely on your curiosity and want you to return the call to see who it was.
NEVER call back a number you don't recognize. It only lets the scammer know they got a "live" number and will most likely sell it to other scammers.
If the call was from someone you know but didn't recognize the number, they will probably leave you a voicemail message. Very few scammers will leave a message. Even if they did, you will at least know if was a scammer.
