A foreign woman called and said there is something wrong with my computer. I hung up. Had many of these calls and they are all a scam. NO computer company will call you unless you call them first.
They have called me multiple times and claimed to be Geek Squad. They said it was a complimentary malware check call and asked me to give them access to my computer. Um, no thank you. When I said I was not comfortable with that, they hung up. Scam, scam, scam.
no joke this was the call I just got!! [***]: hello this is a computer check. Me: I am the IT here and know that no computer company will call a business unless they call them first. [***]: What windows do you use. Me: I don't give out computer things over phone. [***]: Then what will you give out over the phone your [***]?
This made me more upset that if I was not working today, my mother would have gotten this call.
Got a call from a man with foreign accent ( Arabic, African?) saying he was from geek crew and my computer was sending them messages of having malicious malware. When asked who gave them the information they said a satellite. They asked me if i had seen errors on my computer, said i hadn't. Called me a moron and hung up up on me. Tried calling me back 30 mins later.
