I worked for the company who calls. I completely understand being paranoid and distrustful towards these calls -- if I hadn't been at the other end of the line, I would have blocked them too!

Phone numbers: 866-218-5975, 860-740-3133. Located in FL. They call from "the Doctor's office" (no specific doctor), they have an accent, they make numerous calls a day, every day. They ask for personal information, including your SS#, and they transfer a lot. Four transfers in, you may get to talk to a doctor about some braces through Medicare.

From my experience, this is legit... the catch is, if you're offered these braces, you may or may not get them, who knows! This is the scheme: there are some companies who fabricate braces and offer them to Medicare patients. In order to get Medicare to pay for them (so the final users get them at little to no cost), they need a signed prescription. This is where the Doctor's office comes in: these companies offer the braces AND the telehealth doctor to approve the prescription in a single call, so they make a sale on the spot.

The doctors are actual doctors and are licensed. You may hear a recording mentioning the HIPAA, and it may ask for your consent to get calls from them -- say yes if you're interested in the braces, say no if you're not and politely ask them to put you in their DNC list. They will comply, but only if you explicitly mention the DNC.

They will ask you for your SS# and perform a triage, asking for measurements, medications you're taking, recent visits to the ER, and details about your chronic pain. If you do not feel comfortable giving out this information, politely ask the agent to place your number in their DNC list. Don't simply hang up, they'll call you even more!

The worst that can happen if you let them go forward is not receiving the product.

Shill Alert
What in the world is your definition of "Legit"?  You are using that word and I don't it means what you think it means.

Is there any doubt the "Doctors" will issue a prescription for, or recommend a brace?  That is what those "Doctors" are paid to do.  How is that Legit?
And what about giving crooks running this scam your DOB, social and Medicare account info?  That is NOT a good idea.  This a Fraud on every level, and you are calling it Legit?

You are working for them now, why else would you be here.  You did not get a call and need to look the number up.  You are a Shill for Crooks, and that makes you a crook.  And a liar.

"I worked for the company who calls:" No problem, simply tell us the name and address of this legit company so that we can check them out.  They must be licensed to sell this stuff right?  Registered with the State of Florida as a business, do they have a BBB page? "The doctors are actual doctors and are licensed. " Then you must also know their names and what state(s) they are licensed to practice in.  Failure to provide any of this information will be proof that you are lying about the legitimacy of this scam organization.

It would be illegal for a doctor to diagnose over the phone for something as complex as that, they would need to be licensed to practice medicine in the state the victim of this scam lives in, and items like that usually have to custom fitted to the person who is going to wear them.

You use the word "legit" in one sentence then the word "scheme" a few sentences later.  These two words do not go together! Well, unless you're explaining that the scheme isn't legit.
