Received a message from "Miss Landry" a process server stating that she was going to serve me with legal papers in 2 days at my home or place of employment (apparently she was going to both locations). To stop this process, I needed to contact her client at 877-418-7359. She did not say what the legal documents were for just that I needed to sign and show a valid drivers license. This is a scam. I've gotten calls like this before because several years ago I obtained a payday loan online, which has since been repaid. It's funny how these process servers never have a first name. They are always Mrs. Weston, Miss Landry, Mr. Miller, etc. I had one process server say she had been to my home several times but I wasn't home. Funny thing is that I work from home and I am home everyday, all day! No one ever came to my home. Don't be fooled. It's just a scam.

An actual Process Server is not going to have any conversation with you about any debt you owe, nor will they demand payment from you. If something like this happens, immediately call local law enforcement and make a full report including as much descriptive information as you can give them of the person impersonating a court officer.
