someone wanted to let me know that there would be some people giving out free in home alarm systems... I think my DROID apps are giving my phone number out.
From "Home Security Network". Lady said they were installing home security systems and asked if I was a homeowner. This was one hour after receiving an unsolicited robocall on my cell from 860-899-2714 saying they are installing home security systems in my area and I should press 1 to arrange an appointment. Pressed 1 hoping to find out the name of the company, opt-out, report them etc and one hour later received this call from 812-962-4626. She gave me the name of the company so they've been reported to the FTC.Caller: Home Security Network
Call Type: Telemarketer
This number called me about a year ago and I filed a complaint to the FCC, they are investigating. They just called me AGAIN. Best part of it is, they're calling a me on a government line - hey telemarketers, that's actually considered a federal offense (I let a previous telemarketer know that and they promptely apologised, took me off their list and hung up - never heard from them again)! With this "security installation company" I pressed 3 to schedule so I could chew them out and threaten federal charges to them. But it disconnected after I pressed 3. Seems very fishy
Pre-recorded solicitation for a free alarm system. I accidentally hit 1 to say I was interested. Guy with thick Indian accent called me back. He wouldn't tell me what company he worked for so I hung up.
these idiots called my 11 yr old sons phone. as soon as i gave him the phone (for emergencies or when he visits his grandparents) i put his # on the DO NOT CALL list. yeah whats the point of these lists if ppl still can call? im now also getting solicitor text messages! they are going above & beyond invasion of privacy w/ all this crap!
