I got the same message... Said it was some kind of financial company I never heard of and don't have and a third party accessed my ATM card and now the account is suspended. I was suspicious from the beginning, so I played the game, then it asked me to enter a 16 digit card # and I pressed 0 to see if it would route me to a live rep. That didn't work so I hung up and called the number back and then it was a relay service interpreter so I hung up. Again... TOTAL FRAUD!!!
Just called Verizon and it a prepaid cell phone out of Morris Town NJ. Nothing they can do except report it to their fraud department... How many people will get scammed by this before we can shut them down... I tried to get one of the alleged credit union operators to pick up by randomly inputting #s, but it eventually just hung up on me! RIDICULOUS!
THIS IS A SCAM!! If you entered your credit card number, call your financial institution IMMEDIATELY!
DO NOT give our your information to anyone on the phone, your financial institution will NEVER call you and ask for your account number, debit card or credit card numbers - they already should have that information!!!
I received this phone 1-862-579-2935 at 12:40PM 02/16/2009 with the message that a thirty party access my account over limit and the company had to freeze my account. If I want to reactivate my account, I must press #1 or press #2 to leave as it is. I didn't follow the instructions and turn off my cell. I went home and call this number with my home phone. Nobody answer the phone. Only the music. Something wrong with this number. If you're authority, please check this number and get the bad guys!!!
