I got the same message... Said it was some kind of financial company I never heard of and don't have and a third party accessed my ATM card and now the account is suspended. I was suspicious from the beginning, so I played the game, then it asked me to enter a 16 digit card # and I pressed 0 to see if it would route me to a live rep. That didn't work so I hung up and called the number back and then it was a relay service interpreter so I hung up. Again... TOTAL FRAUD!!!
Got a call at 6:30 am PST but the ringer was off so we never heard it and didn't wake up. BUT, this is one of several numbers that have been calling us for reasons that sound similar to this one. We have posted the other numbers as well. This is a very new automated scam and seems like they are able to mask their number so you don't know what the real number is. Even Verizon (or other carrier) doesn't seem to know what the real number(s) are that these calls are coming from. Email all your friends and tell them to beware of this new scam. Really, its your parents and grandparents who will most likely get beat by this. Make sure they know!
I received a call on my cell phone from this number. It was one of those recorded calls. I didn't recognize the company they claimed to be from but message claimed my account had been accessed by a third party and to verify the security of my account I needed to enter my account number. I immediately hung up and called my bank to see if they had called about my account. I was told no and that they were the only ones that controlled my account. They also told me that it the call sounded like a fraud. I then called my phone service carrier and asked them to back track this phone number. They told me it orginated from Northern New Jersey. They were also kind enough to google the number while I was on the phone with them and this when we discovered I was not the only one that these people are calling. Please tell everyone you know that this number and others asking you to enter your account number are part of a fraud scam. HANG UP!
