I called the number back and got a recording that was weirs. It is a man saying that this call is a scam and to call the police. When they call it is a recording saying it is a credit card Company. Then when I called I got that weird recording. I did report it three times to the DNC list.
I RECEIVED A CALL TODAY FROM 864 213-7092. I ALWAYS LET MY MESSAGE SYSTEM DO THE TALKING. IT IS AS FOLLOWS; HI, YOU HAVE REACHED XXX-XXX-XXXX. IF I RECOGNIZE YOUR NAME OR NUMBER, I WILL PICK UP IMMEDIATELY. IF I AM AWAY FROM THE PHONE ONLY FOR A FEW MINUTES, I WILL RETURN YOUR CALL. IF I DON'T RECOGNIZE YOUR NAME OR NUMBER, I WILL DETERMINE IF IT'S IN MY BEST INTEREST TO RETURN YOUR CALL. I NEVER PICK UP ON UNKNOWN OR BLOCKED NUMBERS.
I get these calls also and have decided not to get mad but get even. When they ask to press 1 to get rates lowered, I played alone. Tell them you really like the deal and that you are in debt for about 3500.00. When they ask for credit card exp. date, tell them you have to find your wallet then set phone down and go about your day. They will hold on for a while and pay phone company to do so. If we all do this it will cost them in the long run.
The number came up as from I cell phone. I decided to answer it knowing it was probably a scam or telemarketer. After listening to the pre-recorded message, I pressed 1 to speak to a representative to learn how to lower my interest. (this was the only option) The representative answered "Account Services". I said you called me. She asked if I had $3k or more in credit card debt? I asked what company is this again? Then I asked what they do, as I am unfamiliar with Account Services. She said they service all MC Visa. I asked how they service them, to which she gave a big sigh and hung up.
Annoying call saying some hillbilly in South Carolina wants to lower my credit card interest rate. Problem is I don't have a credit card and don't want one. Telemarketers along with politicians are scum.
