Got a call today from Mr. Strother - at work - who told my boss to have me call him at his law firm. He is not a lawyer, he wanted me to give him money for a check. I haven't written a check in almost 10 years. Told him not to call back, and that I would report him to every scam website I could find.
I have done business with this firm and they are a legitimate Law Firm who actually helped me avoid a 1099 C filing from being issued in my name. I also thought they were collections and the fact is they are not, they are a Law Firm and were very helpful. Once Mr. Strothers explained everything it was very helpful.
