Recently I converted to COBRA and SRC (an AETNA company) was assigned to administer my health insurance. After the conversion, they sold my address and information under the guise of "faciilitating" insurance coverage without my permission or request. I've been deluged by other insurance companies claiming to be "lower", debt consolidation and trade schools - because they believe I am unemployed.
This is a classic example of companies who are thriving off the misery and desperation of the 90 percent. Although I am up to date with AETNA and only needed COBRA until I became eligible in my new job, AETNA & SRC has tried every trick in the book not to honor the coverage. Therefore, I am filing a complaint with the PA State Insurance Commissioner as well as the NJ Insurance commisioner - the state where I was previously employed.
Check and see if there were any significant work or life changes in your family or if you changed residence - your name & phone number were sold by SRC in a mailing list.
Im getting phone calls from this # as well... he also use a 4 digit # ID. Everytime he calls, i say that he have the wrong # then he stop but after 3 days the irritating phone calls start again...
Same number - guy said he was an Education Advisor; said I was interested in some online education programs (which I'm not). He had broken english but was receptive when I asked to be removed from the list. We'll see if that happens...
