I've received several calls from this phone number. At all times when I answer, there is no response whatsoever - only an immediate hangup/disconnect.
The other posts on this website say that the caller is from SHELLPOINT MORTGAGE, who, one posts states, took over loans for Bank of America.
I have never had any loans with Bank of America, or Shellpoint Mortgage.
I have one loan on my current home, which was originated about 14 years ago. None other.
I INTEND TO PURCHASE A LOUD AIR-HORN.
WHEN this number calls me again, I will answer with a blast of AIR HORN.
I do not know if this company makes telemarketing calls or not. But they are a mortgaging servicing firm which took over my mortgage from another company. They are very nice people to deal with. I just talked to them about my mortgage account. All is well with me and them. I like them. They have to say they they are a debt collector in their name because they get bankruptcy deals and such. So they may have had a legitimate reason to call the number mentioned about in the snake oil post. But they are a legitimate mortgage servicing firm...which totally straightened out my escrow act which the previous mortgage company did not do. My opinion is hat's off to Shellpoint.
