Got a call at my parents house. Demanded I call back by 3pm today. Gave me a case number. Knew personal information of family members (names) and REALLY outdated information about me. Demanded payment of $500+ or they would summon all family members to appear in court and didn't OR wouldn't provide me with any documentation to support their claims. Been a victim of scams before... this appears to be another one.

My Father-in-law called and said that these people contacted him looking for us regarding a case number. Said that we needed to contact them by 3:00 today. All of our correct information is on any real paperwork that we have attached to our names, this has to be a scam.
They called looking for a family member claiming to be from Aaron Rent a Center with a past due bill sent to collections. When I called back anonymously she wouldn't give me the company name or any other information.
They people calling my 78th old mother, mother-in-law, cousin,and friend saying that we give the name as reference and that my husband stole from Aaron, and that they have legal action again us we must call before 4pm if not it will be out of they hand and people will showing at our jobs,when i call back and ask for the company name she hang up the phone
this company called several family members and threatened that if a $500 debt is not paid , which they said is a felony, they will file a suit locally. when questioned they said i ask too many questions and did not provide any details on the supposed debt. they hung up on me several times. Their debt claims are unsubstantiated. they have very outdated information, threatening and rude. they claim to be working with attorneys but will not provide any attorney information. this debt collector uses illegal practices!!
